1. Copyright Policy

Material featured on this Portal may be reproduced free of charge after taking proper permission by sending a mail to us. However, the material has to be reproduced accurately and not to be used in a derogatory manner or in a misleading context. Wherever the material is being published or issued to others, the source must be prominently acknowledged. However, the permission to reproduce this material shall not extend to any material which is identified as being copyright of a third party. Authorization to reproduce such material must be obtained from the departments/copyright holders concerned.

2. Content Contribution, Moderation and Approval Policy

Following this policy, the department provides a role based Management Information System. This MIS team has been provided with publishing rights by DoIT, Govt of Rajasthan.

The content is received from the various units/heads/projects of the Water Resources Department. The MIS team in the capacity of publisher is responsible for publishing the content on the website.

Addl. Chief Engineer, WR Zone, Jaipur is the Nodal Officer for the Macro Water Portal and approving authority for the content to be published on the Water Resources (Micro) Portal.

The Nodal Officer and MIS team is responsible for overall supervision to ensure that authentic and updated information are available on the website.

It is the duty of the team to ensure that the content on WR Micro Portal is always authentic, up-to-date and latest.

Each and every bit of content published on the Water portal is verified and checked thoroughly as the public expects nothing less than authentic and accurate information from a credible source such as an official Government website. (Subjected to the terms and conditions)

3. Web Content Review Policy

The Nodal Officer, Water Portal and the MIS team have the responsibility for periodically reviewing the content of the website in respect of their respective domains. A proper workflow is followed before final updation of content on the website.

In case the nature of the content is ‘historical’ e.g. press releases, speeches, published reports/documents of the Department etc. will never change and is not subjected to revision.

The time sensitive content which expires after a certain date (e.g. tender notifications, announcements etc.) is removed or archived as per the content archival policy (CAP).

4. Hyperlinking Policy

At many places in this website, you shall find links to other websites/portals. These links have been placed for your convenience. Department is not responsible for the contents and reliability of the linked websites and does not necessarily endorse the views expressed in them. Mere presence of the link or its listing on this website should not be assumed as endorsement of any kind. The WRD cannot guarantee that these links will work all the time and we have no control over availability of linked pages.

As a general rule, this website does not collect Personal Information about you when you visit the site. You can generally visit the site without revealing Personal Information, unless you choose to provide such information.

7. Website Monitoring Plan

Website is monitored periodically to address and fix the quality and compatibility issues for functionality and performance.

To judge the water portal’s performance and make necessary improvements, a proper mechanism for feedback analysis is provided to carry out the necessary changes and enhancements as suggested by the visitors.

8. Content Archival Policy

There are certain time sensitive contents available on the water portal. As per the Content Archival Policy (CAP) the content is either archived for future reference or it is permanently removed if it is in the expired category.

The following steps are followed as per the CAP for the information mentioned below:

i) The NITs/BIDs are removed permanently a week after the time has expired.

ii) The Land Acquisition related notifications are kept in archives for 2 years after the time limit mentioned in the concerned document. Once the archival time period of two years expires, the notifications are removed from the water portal.

iii) The information of the Gang Canal (regulation chart, gauge register etc) is kept on website for the calendar year. Then the information is kept in archives for a year and finally it is removed permanently from the water portal.
